Veronika Zadin   


Veronika Zadin (born in 1982) is Professor of Materials Technology at the Institute of Technology, University of Tartu. She received her PhD in Engineering from the University of Tartu in 2012, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Helsinki from 2012 to 2014. Her primary research focus is on technologies and materials for CERN particle accelerators. In addition to her research, she coordinates cooperation between the University of Tartu and CERN’s CTF3 activities and is actively involved in developing Estonia’s participation in CERN in collaboration with TalTech and the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics (KBFI). Her research interests include elastic and plastic deformation, heat and mass transfer, charge transport, and interactions between electric fields and metals, especially in the context of multi-scale and multi physics simulations context.
