Title:
Nanomaterials and Nanofabrication for Sensing Applications.

Abstract:
Recent advancements in nanofabrication  and nanomaterials are improving the sensing technologies, enabling high  sensitivity, integration, and ultra-low power consumption in gas and  biosensors. In this talk, I will introduce some of the key  nanofabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition, and in-situ  growth strategies used to develop functional nanostructures and  nanodevices. I will also share examples from my work on CuO nanowires  and graphene based sensors, which exhibit high sensitivity to gases by  tuning their electronic properties. Furthermore, I will talk about SiO₂  suspended membranes which can be used as versatile platforms for new  applications ranging from in-situ growth of  materials to Seebeck effect investigations, and even enabling quantum  transduction.
